Technical Writing, Editing and Proofreading

All documents submitted for proofreading or editing must be formatted as follows:
Manuscript format (double spaced), 12 point font, Times or Arial, 1” margins, page limit 250 words. Submit as MS Word doc.

Along with the document, state which style guide you want used and any other requirements to be applied to style. I am most experienced in using APA and MLA, but also have experience with Chicago, AP and AMA. Most of my work has been done for the U.S., but I have done some work for publication in the U.K., thus I have used both Harvard and Oxford styles.

Definitions: Print:  A page is 250 words or less, manuscript double-spaced, 12 pt font, times or arial.  Where pages have been extended or reduced by editing and rewriting, the greater word count is used.  For web article writing 500 words or less constitutes a page.  For web reviewing a page is 250 words or less or 45 pe rshort page, $25 for one long page.

Copy Rights :  By accepting our services you thereby stipulate that you own the content you submit for review or have rights to work on this content.
All commissioned writing is owned by us until it is paid for, at which time ownership is transferred to the client.
We also license some of our prioprietary materials such as online content and courses, but do not transfer copyrights on such materials.

Rights of Refusal:  We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone; if e dtermine that a research piece or substantive rewrite is too much work for the quoted p[rice we may offer another price or refuse service.  This is rarely the case, only if the English is so bad nd incomprehensible that it must be completely rewriten with a lot of time and collaboration to figure out what the author is trying to say.  Note:  Thus far, this has never been the case with a foreign writer of English.  Those works may need a lot of rewording and clarification, but that is not a problem.  We specialize in second language documents for all industries!
